Meet the Team

  • Anya Dalal

    Anya is a junior at Casitlleja School and is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of TrailblazeHERS in Sports. She enjoys playing soccer for both her school and club team, and is passionate about amplifying the voices of young women through journalism. She looks forward to expanding TrailblazeHERS in Sports, connecting with others who share her passion, and exploring why female athletes are prone to certain injuries and what can be done to prevent them.

    Casey Louie

    Casey is a sophomore at Crystal Springs Uplands School and is the Managing Editor of TrailblazeHERS in Sports. She enjoys hanging out with friends, shopping, and playing basketball and golf. She is passionate about the medical side of sports and supporting women in male-dominated fields. Casey is excited to help lead the TIS team in conducting research and highlighting female athletes to make an impact in women's sports.

    Aarika Gupta

    Aarika is an 8th grader at Blach Intermediate and a nationally ranked tennis player with a passion for sports equity. She is Head of Editing at TrailblazeHERS in Sports and a curious wheel thrower in the ceramics studio. Aarika writes about gender equity, youth athletics, and what it means to “play like a girl”, unapologetically. She hopes to use her writing to challenge stereotypes, celebrate female athletes, and spark conversation about the barriers girls face in sports.

    Fiona Alston

    Fiona is a sophomore at Crystal Springs Uplands School and is a staff writer of TrailblazeHERS in Sports. She enjoys playing soccer for her club team, reading, and hanging out with her friends in her free time. As a staff writer, she hopes to uplift women in sports and wishes to bring more awareness to the struggles and challenges that women face in the athletic community. She also hopes to inspire young female student-athletes in their endeavors towards pursuing college sports as she goes through the process herself.

    Avery Feitelberg

    Avery is a sophomore at Castilleja School with a keen passion for soccer. She has participated in both Varsity Soccer and Varsity Volleyball at Castilleja. She has played club soccer since the 4th grade, and has grown a deep commitment to goalkeeping. Avery wishes to pursue collegiate soccer, while making the sport better than she found it. She is an editor for TIS and is striving to bring diverse voices to light in the world of women's sports, creating a fun and accessible community for female athletes.

    Raina Kapadia

    Raina is a sophomore at Castilleja School and is on the Design, Outreach, and Social Media teams. She enjoys playing softball for both her school and club team and flag football for her school team. She is passionate about sports medicine and orthopedics and is excited about spreading awareness about issues related to inclusion sports!

    Sabrina is a junior at Crystal Springs Uplands School. She loves hanging out with friends, talking about fashion and of course, playing sports. She’s so excited to be a part of this team and look forward to helping empower more young women.

    Natalia Razo

    Natalia is a sophomore at The Nueva School and a Staff Editor on the Magazine Team at TrailblazeHERS in Sports. She enjoys watching movies, pop culture, playing soccer, and spending time in nature. She is passionate about exploring the intersections of gender, media, and culture within athletics, with a focus on how women’s sports are represented across different platforms. She is looking forward to continuing to examine the social and cultural forces that shape how female athletes are perceived.

    Annabelle Shek

    Annabelle is the Head of Outreach and a Social Media Officer here at TrailblazeHERS in sports. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, shopping, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She is so excited to be a part of the team and help TIS grow!
