Founder and Editor-in-Chief

Anya is a rising senior at Castilleja School. She enjoys playing soccer for both her school and club team, and is passionate about amplifying the voices of young women through journalism. She looks forward to expanding TrailblazeHERS in Sports, connecting with others who share her passion, and exploring why female athletes are prone to certain injuries and what can be done to prevent them.

Amaira is a rising sophomore at The Nueva School. She enjoys spending time with friends, reading, and playing competitive tennis. She is passionate about the mental and equity-focused aspects of sports, as well as raising awareness around injuries and effective prevention strategies. Drawing from her experience as a competitive athlete, Amaira hopes to uplift and empower other young women. She is excited to help lead the TIS team and inspire female athletes throughout their athletic journeys.

Managing Editor

Casey is a rising sophomore at Crystal Springs Uplands School. She enjoys hanging out with friends, shopping, and playing basketball and golf. She is passionate about the medical side of sports and supporting women in male-dominated fields. Casey is excited to help lead the TIS team in conducting research and highlighting female athletes to make an impact in women's sports.

Raina is a rising junior at Castilleja School . She enjoys playing softball for both her school and club team and flag football for her school team. She is passionate about sports medicine and orthopedics and is excited about spreading awareness about issues related to inclusion sports!

Aarika is a rising 9th grader and a nationally ranked tennis player with a passion for sports equity. She is a curious wheel thrower in the ceramics studio. Aarika writes about gender equity, youth athletics, and what it means to “play like a girl”, unapologetically. She hopes to use her writing to challenge stereotypes, celebrate female athletes, and spark conversation about the barriers girls face in sports.

Samara is a rising sophomore at Aragon High School. She enjoys playing Team NorCal lacrosse and flag football. She loves going to concerts, hanging out with friends, traveling, and meeting new people. She enjoys to write about many things including injury, the gender pay gap, and coaching young women.

Chloe is a rising senior at Menlo School. She has an interest in marketing and sports. In her free time, she enjoys running, lifting, watching sports, & hanging with friends!

Avery is a rising junior at Castilleja School with a keen passion for soccer. She has participated in both Varsity Soccer and Varsity Volleyball at Castilleja, as well as club soccer. She loves spending time with friends and family and going to the beach. She strives to bring diverse voices to light in the world of women's sports, creating a fun and accessible community for female athletes.

Claire is very passionate about soccer and uplifting community through sports. She is also a huge Tottenham Hotspur fan. Along with sports, she enjoys playing her flute, listening to music, and reading.

Sierra is a rising sophomore at Crystal Springs Uplands School. She enjoys swimming for both her club and school teams and values spending time with her family and friends. Sierra is passionate about promoting mental health awareness in athletics and advocating for greater opportunities and equity for women in sports.

Emi is a rising senior at Aragon High School and a big soccer enthusiast,. In her free time she enjoys playing soccer, training, reading, and hanging out with friends!

Design Intern

Sophia has written articles for the magazine in the past. She plays club soccer as well as school soccer, flag football, and lacrosse. Sophia is passionate about graphic design and bringing pages to life through creative layout styles and cohesive, fun image integration. She is excited to improve awareness about women’s sports through design!

Ariya is a rising senior at Crystal Springs Uplands School. She enjoys traveling, playing soccer, skiing, watching sports, and spending time with the people she loves. As a soccer player, she has developed a passion for teamwork, leadership, and building meaningful connections both on and off the field. She has always been drawn to writing because of its ability to tell stories that educate, inspire, and bring communities together. Through TrailblazeHERS, Ariya hopes to highlight the achievements of female athletes while helping grow the visibility of women's sports.
